Two new Life Members acknowledged at AGM

Petone FC has two new Life Members - Andy Badrick and Craig Deadman. The achievements of the two club stalwarts were acknowledged at this year's AGM on Thursday night, with Andy's wife Suzanne on hand to accept the award on his behalf. 


Club secretary Barry Pickering read out the nominations for Andy and Craig who together have contributed over 50 years' service to the club. At the time Andy, who is currently in London with work, was unaware of his nomination, but was very humbled and grateful for the award when contacted after the AGM. 


Craig, who was Club Chairman for 12 years, accepted his award acknowledging the support he had received during his time at the club. "You can't do it (the administration) without the support you get from others," he said, highlighting his loyalty to Petone. 


Club President Campbell Sutherland presented Suzanne and Craig with their Life Member pins, thanking them both for their service to the club. 


Andy Badrick

Andy’s involvement with the Petone FC goes back as far as 1984 when he first joined the 1st team from Stokes Valley.  During that time he made significant contributions to the club. First and foremost as a 1st team player, but also as an Administrator over different periods and in a number of roles. Andy has coached various teams over several years, as well as undertaking many activities supporting the club that he would just get on and do if he couldn’t find others to help. 


Andy had a long and distinguished career as a player making 230 1st team league appearances from 1984 – 1994, scoring 23 goals in the process, with a lone appearance in 1999.  Read more...


Craig Deadman

Craig has been with the club since 1993 when he became manager of the 3rd team, so around 25 years involvement. 


During that time, he has made significant contributions in Committee related administration over an extensive period of time through his role as Chairman of the Club. He played an active role in the wider Football Community through his association with Capital Football.  Read more...
